The Qliphoth

The Qliphoth, Qelippot or Klippot (Heb. קליפות) literally "peels", "shells" or "husks", from singular: קליפה qliphah "husk") are the representation of evil or impure spiritual forces in Jewish mysticism.

Les Qliphoth, Qelippot ou Klippot (Heb. קליפות) littéralement «coques», «coquilles» du singulier: קליפה qliphah «coque») sont la représentation des forces spirituelles mauvaises ou impures dans le mysticisme juif.

Compare Tree of Life (Left) and QliphoticTree (Right).

- The Qliphoth in the system of the Golden Dawn:

Eliphas Levi talks about in his books: he said "the Qliphoth" represent the world bark, peelings or empty shells, psychic residue, which grow alongside Sephiroth.

MacGregor Mathers made a parallel between the bark and the Seven Kings of Edom and suggests they result, in fact, an imbalance of the Pillar of Mercy. The Golden Dawn is not very verbose on Qliphoth but found, however, ten names that are reflections of the 10 Sephiroth: Aretz (The World, Earth below), Sheol (The Pit), Abron (Perdition) Tit Aïsoun (The Filth), Bershoat (The Well), Irasthoum (The Shadow of Death), Ozlomoh (The Doors of Death), Gehenna (The Valley of Sleep), Gehenoum (The Valley of Oblivion) , Gehenomoth (The Valley of Death).

We shall meet this classification, among others, who will pour in Ambelain Kabbalah in his practice on the qualities of noxious Qliphoth, associating them with familiar entities of demonology:

Within the western magical tradition, the Tree of Life is used as a kind of conceptual filing cabinet within the larger system of the Qabalah, the use of which was central to the mystical teachings of Aleister Crowley. Each sephera ("Emination") and path is assigned various ideas, such as astrological planets and signs, cards of the Tarot, and the classical elements. Many of these correspondances were gathered together in Crowley's book Liber 777, which is used for these listings.

Notes from Spartakus FreeMann:

In the Book of the Black Snake, essay published in 1900 for the initiates of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in the Isis-Urania Temple, we find 10 Qliphoth clearly associated with their servants and nine planets and the sun:

We also houses infernal September:

1. Sheol - the Depths of the Earth.
2. Abaddon - Perdition.
3. Titahion - Clay of the Dead.
4. Ber Shacheth - the Place of Destruction.
5. Tzelmoth - Shadows of Death.
6. Shaari Moth - The Gates of Death.
7. Gehinnom - Hell.

In other writings, we find this tendency to associate Qliphoth like Sephiroth, to simple forces or demonic entities..

- The Demonic Orders:

We give one of the most common versions of orders associated with demonic Qliphoth:

1. Kether - ha-Shatan and Moloch
2. Chochmah - Beelzebub
3. Binah - Lucifuge
4. Chesed - Ashtaroth
5. Geburah - Asmodai
6. Tiphareth - Belphegor
7. Netzach - Baal
8. Hod - Adramalech
9. Yesod - Lilith
10. Malkhuth - Nahemah.

The names that we find in this list are either demons names of ancient gods (Astaroth, Baal ...) or demons of the Old Testament or Christian mythology (Moloch, Lilith, Satan, Beelzebub) is, for Adramalech, character of the Old Testament (2). Note that two demons are associated with Qlipah opposed to Kether to highlight the state of division of the sphere. We are at the end of this short journey into the dark abyss of endless night of tortured emotions of the Great Prostitute ... Oops, sorry, I die - Qliphoth abuse harms the mental balance of power. The system Qliphoth, it stretches back to Jewish mysticism, is very recent developments in its magic and those who have expanded the scope did that in order to establish their own system (we think of Grant). Detached from its base specific Jewish symbol qliphothique is a new mask placed on the face of Satanism and at best it is a justification for the attraction to the murky and at worst a perverse game or a scam mystical. Where the occult gives us 10 names, Kabbalah gives us seven, in addition, the Hebrew texts do not tell us an inverted tree consists of 10 anti-Sephiroth, only names given to the evil inclination, the sitra ha-ra, which is called the Other Side. Sitra is what Ha-Ra that occultists have turned into inverted tree, thinking by reading some passages from the Zohar, that the other side was to be formed on the same model as the 10 Sephiroth. Sitra Ha-Ra is composed of Qlipoth Qlipah the world, these shells are Qlipoth material, waste creation and who resides in the fall of the state of perfection. Their formation is explained in detail by the Lurianic Kabbalah and his theory of Tzimtzum. In reality, Qlipoth are attached to each Sephirah in the same place and same time. No tree therefore reversed, but a coexistence of both worlds. The Qlipoth 10 spheres are not independent, but 10 residues 'evil' (in the sense of going against the establishment) that attach aux10 Sephiroth.
